Social media poisonality (not a spelling mistake) Hannah Pearl Davies – who uploaded a video of herself singing a song lamenting so-called censorship against spreading hate against Jews, while suggesting Hitler may have had a point – has appeared on Piers Morgan to speak about it (hat tip: Eli).
Spoiler alert: Do not expect an apology. Her only regret is that it was a “headache”, which is the only reason she deleted it to begin with (as I suspected).
For the record, I agree with Brooke Goldstein on the freedom of speech issue. As I keep saying, I support freedom of speech (unless inciting violence), but I also support freedom to suffer the consequences of that speech. My modus operandi against the Jew-haters of the world is to use their own words against them; hoist them up on their own petard, as it were. Engaging in debates with these people is futile (unless they prove themselves to be someone who truly did not understand what they said was antisemitic).
Also for the record, I do not believe that Pearl is dumb. I think she knows exactly what she is doing.
We need to face the reality that there are some really vile people out there who understand that Jew-hatred pays handsomely. And Pearl seems to be one of them.
