Langara College Investigating Staff Member Dr Natalie Knight Over Her Celebrating Hamas
Yesterday I posted about the vile celebration of Hamas’ atrocities by Dr Natalie Knight, the Indigenous Curriculum Consultant in the Teaching and Curriculum Development Centre at Langara College in Vancouver.
I asked you join me in contacting Langara College, which many of you did, as did others including the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver..
Langara have since released the following statement:
“The college has learned that a staff member shared their personal views that do not represent those of the college, and the matter is currently under investigation.”
By “personal views,” I assume they mean”vile support for the genocidal acts of a terrorist organization.”
In a promising sign that the college will fire Knight’s sorry arse, her page has already been removed from the staff section of Langara’s website:
although her presence on the website has not (yet) been totally flushed down the memory hole.
Meanwhile, Simon Fraser University, who awarded Knight the Dean of Graduate Studies Convocation Medal in 2019, released this statement:
Besides washing their hands off all of this and not having the moral fortitude to strip her of the award, note how they mention “Islamophobia” and “anti-Palestinian hate” – let alone before they mention “antisemitism” and “anti-Israel hate.” Truly pathetic.
