Roger Waters is pissed off (and probably pissed drunk) after two Buenos Aires canceled his reservations. And guess who he is blaming.
On Friday night, in exclusive communication with Página/12, Roger Waters reported that his reservations at Buenos Aires hotels were canceled with strange excuses. “They canceled my reservations at the Faena Hotel and the Alvear Hotel. They don’t have any rooms,” he told this newspaper from San Pablo, where he will perform this Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th at the Allianz Parque.
“We were scheduled at Faena, and they told us they were canceling the reservation because the room was being remodeled,” the musician continued. “Ha, fucking ha! This is the Israeli lobby throwing its weight behind. It’s pathetic. At the Alvear they confirmed a reservation for us for ten rooms from November 13 to 22 this morning (for Friday), and then, later, they also canceled it.
This newspaper contacted both hotels, where they declined to comment.
I have no idea whether they canceled because of his antisemitism, despicable post-Oct massacre comments, or just don’t feel like having a loud and obnoxious guest. Either way, I know where I will be staying if I ever make it to Buenos Aires.
