In memory of Lior David Sivan, a fallen hero.
My country, my people,
we’ll never forget.
Every day, hour, minute,
we are under threat.
.
A people,
with no other place to call home.
A nation,
that no longer wishes to roam.
.
Our defense is non-stop,
helped by the One Above.
Our religion commands us
to live, laugh and love.
.
We are a nation of purpose,
for over 2000 years.
Unrelenting, tenacious,
despite all the fears.
.
Even our offense
is just a defense.
Protecting ourselves
from those with no sense.
.
We want only our land,
no need for others.
The land we received
from forefathers and mothers.
.
We are all kinds of types,
but first Israelis,
in protecting our country
our children, our babies.
.
Shocked when our babies
grow up into soldiers.
They are brave, heads held high
a world on their shoulders.
.
With the perseverance to fight,
we get injured, fall, bleed.
We mourn, heal our wounds,
and get up.
We lead.
.
Each one of us has,
on every topic or two,
at least three opinions,
a cause to commit to.
.
The tech nation will rise,
will achieve more and more.
We’ll go through the window,
if someone closes the door.
.
We pray all disputes will one day be solved.
My Israel,
a small country,
with tremendous resolve.
