Having been caught out and ridiculed over his comments about Iran on Melbourne’s 3AW radio station with Tom Elliot, inveterate liar Nasser Mashni is blaming the lie on – wait for it – a “‘Ramadan brain’ slip of the tongue.”
Even if we take Mashni’s word for it that he is observing Ramadan – given his father converted to Christianity – claiming Jews are allowed to live as equals in Iran is one hell of a slip of the tongue.
Perhaps Mashni can also claim he had a Ramadan brain slip that time he chased a child, beat him with a wooden axe handle, shoved him into the boot of his car and drove him to an abandoned paddock where he threatened to break his legs. After all, ‘Ramadan brain’ happens.
Alternatively, Mashni had no slip of the tongue. His tongue followed orders from his brain, which were the same orders they always take:
“Say whatever it takes to demonize Israel.”
