When it comes to anti-Israel protesters, there are two main types: antisemites and ignoramuses.
I have mostly blogged about the antisemites, but we have already seen our fair share of ignoramuses. And we have seen more of the same at the recent protests, like this one at New York University, where the young woman’s nose ring seems to have penetrated her brain (quite an achievement given the relative size of her brain in relation to the ring):

Not knowing why you are even protesting is peak anti-Israel student protester. So is holding up a poster of someone of whom you have no idea:

For the record, the photo is of Zachariah Zubeidi, one of the fugitives who escaped from Gilboa prison in 2021 before being recaptured.
Zakaria Zubeidi is a former top commander in the Fatah-linked Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terrorist wing of the ruling faction in the Palestinian Authority government in Ramallah.
Zubeidi was convicted and incarcerated in 2019 for involvement in several lethal terror attacks on Israelis years after promising in 2007 – when he received amnesty from a prior imprisonment — to lay down his weapons. His previous incarceration came in response to his activities as a leader of the Second Intifada (2000-2005).
Despite sounding like a fake name derived from “Mandela”, Munadel Nfeiat does actually exist; he was one of Zubeidi’s fellow bloodthirsty terrorist escapees:
Nafayat, a member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorist group, was arrested in 2019 and several other times in the past for terrorist activities, for which he has served several prior prison terms.
Nafayat was being held at Gilboa Prison pending conviction for his latest terrorist activities with PIJ.
Meanwhile, the guy interviewed below at least was holding a poster where the photo matched the name; naturally he still had no idea who the terrorist was:

This is just a sample of the ignoramuses shouting and chanting things they don’t understand, for a cause they don’t understand.
But don’t fall into the trap of thinking they are much better than the antisemitic protesters. In most cases, it is their own prejudice against Jewish people – or even hatred – that leads them to go along with demonizing the Jewish state without a modicum of knowledge.
