A Sydney bakery called Oven Bakery by Fufu will soon be needing to change their name to Oven Bakery by FAFO, after posting on their social media photos of a custom made cake depicting a Hamas terrorist and a four-year-old boy in a similar outfit.
Here are the images they posted, before being exposed by the Australian Jewish Association and seemingly deactivating their Instagram and Facebook accounts:
Commenters loved the photos, with one account ayahs.au commenting “Love it” with the inverted red triangles, a symbol used by Hamas to mark an Israeli target about to be attacked:
Ayahs is itself a Sydney-based modest clothing store for Muslim women.
The Oven Bakery by Fufu is a business registered by someone called Mahmoud Hage, while Ayah’s is a business registered by Ismail Holdings Pty Ltd, which also have registered as businesses Air Conditioning Maintenance Group and Just Flow Air Conditioning.
Meanwhile, the commenter styleedit.bymd, who did not expressly support terrorism but does not seem disturbed by it and calls the kid a “cutie”, describes themself as the “Founder & designer of @elevatebymd.” According to the Australian Government Business Register, the clothing-brand business is owned by one Mariam Dennaoui.
I will try to do some more digging to find out more about these people. In the meantime, please spread the word about these businesses.
