Earlier today, the State of Palestine Twitter/X account, which describes itself “Official Twitter of the Mission to the United Nations”, posted the following:
It is a link to an article lamenting the fact more than 150 palestinian Arab teenagers have been killed, shot and arrested in Judea and Samaria since October 7.
But I am guessing whoever behind this Twitter/X account did not pay too close attention to what they were sharing. True, it is a deplorable, one-sided report. But the graphic is rather revealing:
Oops!
The two dudes with guns is quite the clue as to why they were killed. And they weren’t alone in giving new meaning to the phrase “little terrors.”
The report itself pretty much admits this, while referring to October 7 as “Hamas’ brutal attack”, which set off the war, something else I am sure the State of Palestine Twitter/X account did not mean to acknowledge.
More than 150 teens and children 17 or younger have been killed in the embattled territory since Hamas’ brutal attack on communities in southern Israel set off the war last October.

It is clear from statements by the Israeli military, insurgents and families in the West Bank that a number of the Palestinian teens killed in recent months were members of militant groups.
Many others were killed during protests or when they or someone nearby threw rocks or home-made explosives at military vehicles. Still others appear to have been random targets. Taken together, the killings raise troubling questions about the devaluation of young lives in pursuit of security and autonomy.
I wonder whether the person behind the account will have their job by the end of the day.
Or even their life.
