Nasser Mashni Commemorates October 7 With Gloating and Atrocity Denialism

Today is October 7, a day that will forever live in infamy after the events of last year.

I have been dreading today, and I know I am not alone.

Having said that, I am determined to expose the evil of the other side, so I have taken a look at what our enemies are doing and saying today.

Take Nasser Mashni, who is the anti-Israel activist equivalent of Fatah (i.e. he wears a suit and tries to appear respectable, but we know what he truly is about). He has so far spent the day engaging in October 7 atrocity denialism:

while gloating that “theirs is bigger than ours”:

I assume he will also be attending – and possibly speaking at – this “Vigil for Gaza”, which he has promoted on Instagram:

TODAY’S OCTOBER 7 VIGIL FOR GAZA

The public’s presence is a powerful statement of support and unity asserting the protection of Palestinian life and Jewish life. This unity is not reflected by the Prime Minister’s words and the words of Zionist war mongers who deem certain lives as unworthy.

The vigil organisers demand a permanent ceasefire and an end to the occupation of Palestine that began in 1948. It is time to enforce an end to genocide and war. It is time for another humanity to prevail as western notions of humanity have not protected Jews or Palestinians.

Join the Palestinian community as they commemorate the first anniversary of the first bombs dropped on Gaza in Israel’s current genocidal campaign against the Palestinian people.

On October 7, 2023, Palestinian militants launched an attack on ‘Southern Israel’. Israeli sources suggest 1200 Israeli soldiers and civilians were killed, 251 hostages were taken. 91 remain in captivity. On October 7, 2023, an unknown number of Palestinian militants and civilians that crossed the border were killed, 100s were taken captive. On October 7, 2023, at least 230 Palestinians were killed and over 1000 injured by Israel’s first of 365 days of indiscriminate bombing of civilian infrastructure.

October 7, 2023, also marks the first day when Israel transformed Gaza from an “open air prison” into a “graveyard for children.”

The grief of the Palestinian community is immeasurable. A grief that Australian political leaders and media have described as: “provocative”, “insensitive” , “lacking in compassion”, “an obscene act of bastardry”, “a celebration”, or “divisive.”

It is a grief they would like the Palestinian community to ignore to allow space for others, believed to be more worthy of universal human compassion and support. They would like October 7 to stand as a single day that is exclusive to Jewish victimhood, erasing historical facts of the day and the political context of violence.

No ministers, no victorian premier, no prime minister – will join this vigil that tells the truth occupation and genocide.

Note how they pretend to care about the protection of Jewish life, yet pay lip service to the Hamas atrocities of October 7, while pretty much justifying them. They are also emphasizing that Israeli “soldiers” were killed, while drawing an equivalence between Israelis murdered in cold blood and the terrorists and civilians who crossed the border, and were either killed or imprisoned after committing these atrocities. And the reference to “Jewish victimhood” is a nice touch, not least a reminder of the rampant antisemitism that underpins their entire bogus cause.

And Nasser Mashni is at the forefront of this morally bankrupt movement in Australia.
