As I mentioned in my previous post, Candace Owens recently released an interview with USS Liberty survivor Phil Tourney, and then followed it up with a video claiming the “Antisemite of the year’ award is further proof the word “antisemite” is being used to stifle criticism of Israel.
Firstly, here is an excellent summation of the USS Liberty incident made in response to the Tourney interview:
Why would Tourney claim Israel deliberately sunk the ship in order to blame Arab states, and provoke the U.S. into World War III? Is he an honest, albeit bitter, man with a bad take? Or is something else at play?
Yeah, there seems to be something else at play.
You see, Tourney is quite the Jew-hater – although he spends a fair deal of time trying to deny it:
But there is no denying it.
Tourney doesn’t just rant against “Zionists” while invoking antisemitic tropes:
he gets sloppy and also uses the word “Jew” while doing so:
not to mention accusing us of being behind the porn industry and child trafficking:
He also mockingly refers to us as the “Chosen Ones” or “God’s Chosen People”:
and accuses American Jews of “dual loyalty”:
Then there’s the name of one of his books:
Comparing Israel’s actions to the Holocaust is a common ploy of antisemites, looking to inflict hurt on the Jewish people, and is included in the IHRA working definition of antisemitism.
So treat whatever Tourney claims with great suspicion, because he is clearly motivated by Jew hatred.
And perhaps the same can now be said for Candace Owens.
