The New Year has arrived, and many noticed something interesting with Channel 9 Melbourne’s New Years Eve telecast message:
To be clear, I have no problem with Arabic for “Happy New Year” being displayed on the telecast. My problem is with it being the only language besides English displayed, despite Muslims representing only approximately 5% of the Melbourne population. Melbourne is very multicultural, so it would have behooved Melbourne City Council to have included other languages, including – yes – Hebrew.
For me, it seems to represent a certain pandering that is going on towards not just Muslims, but the anti-Israel community. Melbourne is very much the epicenter of Israel-hatred in Australia, with the likes of Nasser Mashni, Hash Tayeh, Mohammad Sharab, and the other hive of scum and villainy protesting and spreading hate on a weekly basis. The police have done very little to curb the hate – including violence, harassment, and vandalism perpetuate against the Jewish community – and the Victorian government has already been caught outright pandering to these elements already.
And now we see Channel 9 seemingly doing the same thing. And to think it’s the Jews who are constantly accused of controlling the media.
If that were the case, I’d have to say we are doing a terrible job at it!
