Haters Distort Words of Israeli Prosecutor To Deny Hamas’ Sexual Crimes of October 7

Israel-haters and antisemites have been having a field day disseminating the comments of Israeli Prosecutor Moran Gaz, who supposedly admitted that no allegations of rape or sexual assault have been filed from the October 7 attacks.

For instance, Middle East Monitor reported:

This comes after Israeli authorities admitted that no allegations of rape or sexual assault have been filed from the 7 October cross-border infiltration by Palestinian resistance factions, despite extensive investigations.

Moran Gaz, a former lead prosecutor in Israel’s Southern District Prosecutor’s Office and member of Team 7.10, disclosed the findings in an interview with Ynet.

In March 2023, United Nations experts had already debunked similar allegations, concluding they were either unverified or proven false. Similarly, other gruesome claims, such as babies being beheaded or burned in ovens, were widely discredited but continued to circulate in political rhetoric.

and of course Iran’s Press TV jumped on the bandwagon:

An Israeli prosecutor has acknowledged that, 15 months after the Hamas-led operation on October 7, 2023, not a single complaint has been filed to substantiate the alleged incidents of rape and sexual violence by Palestinian resistance fighters.

Moran Gaz, a former lead prosecutor in Israel’s Southern District Prosecutor’s Office made the revelation in a recent interview with Israel’s Ynet magazine.

The prosecutor confirmed that 15 months after Operation al-Aqsa Flood, Israel still had not identified a single victim in which a prosecution can be brought against an alleged perpetrator of a sexual attack.

“In the end, we don’t have any complainants. What was presented in the media compared to what will eventually come together will be entirely different,” Gez said.

The prosecutor, however, said the Palestinians detained after October 7, 2023, should be executed for alleged acts such as stealing avocados from their own stolen lands.

Israeli authorities in recent months have repeatedly admitted that no allegations of rape or sexual assault have been filed from the October operation by Palestinian resistance factions, despite extensive investigations.

United Nations experts have already debunked similar allegations, concluding they were either unverified or proven false. Similarly, other gruesome claims, such as babies being beheaded or burned in ovens by Palestinians, were widely discredited.

The absence of evidence has fueled skepticism about Israeli narratives surrounding the October operation.

We see similar things on social media:

and even a correspondent mentioned it in a nefarious question aimed at the UN Spokesperson:

Not surprisingly, her words were taken completely out of context, something about which she is mortified:

Attorney Moran Gaz, who until recently served as the head of security cases at the Southern District Attorney’s Office, and as the person responsible for sexual offenses, found herself at the center of an international media storm. As a member of the “7.10 Team” to deal with Hamas crimes on Black Sabbath, she gave an interview to the Shabbat supplement of “Yediot Aharonot” about two weeks ago, whose words are now being exploited by pro-Palestinian elements to deny the crimes of sexual violence that occurred on October 7.

“Unfortunately, it will be very difficult to prove these offenses,” Gaz said in the original interview, explaining: “In the end, we have no complainants. What was presented in the media versus what will ultimately emerge will be completely different. Either because the victims were murdered, or because the women who raped them are not prepared to reveal it.” She spoke of contacts with women’s rights organizations that indicated that there were no direct complaints, even though there were “parents who contacted the organizations and asked what to do if something happened to their daughter.”

It is important to emphasize: Although there is evidence of rape and sexual assault, the legal difficulty lies in the link between the perpetrator and the victim. As Gaz explained: “In this matter, I would lower expectations. I know there is an expectation in the public, and I understand the need to address the sexual crimes and horrific sexual assaults that were committed, but the vast majority of them will not be able to meet the threshold of proof required in court.”

Following this, posts began appearing on social media describing the sexual violence allegations as a “mistake” and a “joke.” A Brooklyn-based journalist with hundreds of thousands of followers led a denial campaign based on misrepresenting Gase’s statements, using the fact that no charges were filed as “proof” that the crimes did not occur.

In response to the distortion of her words, Attorney Gez responded: “I am amazed, the fact that there were no complaints was due to two reasons – the Hamas terrorists who raped the young Israeli women murdered them, even during the rape. Against the backdrop of the trauma, women who were raped by members of the terrorist organization and Gaza residents who infiltrated Israel did not muster the courage to file a complaint. Any other interpretation of my words is nothing more than cheap propaganda and ignores the fact that the Hamas terrorists committed war crimes. In my opinion, the only punishment for them is death.”

Only at the end of December 2024, at the beginning of last week, did the Ministry of Health prepare a comprehensive eight-page report intended for the UN, documenting the atrocities endured by the hostages in Hamas captivity. The report, based on the testimonies of the released hostages, reveals a harsh mask of abuse, torture, and neglect. Among the disturbing findings: sexual violence against women and boys, physical torture, intentional starvation, denial of medical care, and subhuman living conditions.

Thus, according to the documented testimonies, boys were forced to have sexual acts with each other, with the captors performing sexual acts on them that included complete undressing, touching private parts, and slapping the genitals. The women in captivity were systematically abused: one of them was attacked at gunpoint, and most of them were forced to undress in front of the captors. Young women reported being sexually touched by the captors, and some were kept tied to the bed with the captors staring at them. In addition, the abductees were forced to watch acts of rape and looting that were carried out in the settlements during the day of the massacre itself. The sexual abuse was part of a systematic set of harm that also included physical torture, intentional starvation, and denial of medical care.

One of the testimonies is that of Amit Soussana , who was kidnapped from Kibbutz Kfar Aza on October 7. In her testimony before the UN, she said that she was held alone, tied to her ankle with an iron chain. She was sexually assaulted by a Hamas guard who threatened her with a gun, forced her into the shower, interrogated her with personal questions, and touched her while she was still in her underwear. Then, when she was transferred to another location, she was subjected to physical torture that included hanging upside down, beatings, and humiliation. She stated that she was forced to “behave well” to her abuser and lived in constant fear for her life.

As you can see, Moran Gaz is certain about the Hamas rapes – the exact opposite of what those distorting her words claim.

But no doubt they will continue to spread these lies because without lies, they have nothing.
