Actor Guy Pearce has already proven himself to be a hypocrite of the highest order, who accuses Israel of all kinds of crimes, yet has not had anything to say about October 7.
He has been going around wearing an Artists4Ceasefire pin, which as I have mentioned before, basically calls for a ceasefire now, leaving Hamas intact. I have posited that those wearing it care little, if at all, for the innocent men, women and children hostages captured by Hamas.
After the ceasefire deal was announced, a Sky News reporter decided to ask Pearce his thoughts. His response is telling, albeit wholly unsurprising.
I assume he is being sarcastic when he says “Thankfully all those people in Gaza can go back to their homes and live freely like they did on October the 6th” – even though the people of Gaza WERE free on October 6th; just not completely able to infiltrate Israel and commit October 7’s each and every day (which they would if we did not limit their access into Israel – it’s not like they haven’t threatened to do it again or anything).
But note what Pearce does not say. He expresses no happiness or gladness that the ceasefire deal will bring about the release of innocent men, women and children hostages from Hamas captivity. It’s almost as if in calling for a ceasefire, all he has been interested in is a stop to Israel’s self-defense, and an opportunity for Hamas to replenish and regroup.
