Antisemitic terror supporter “Abumination” Ali Abunimah has been arrested in Zurich, after arriving in Switzerland to give a talk for The Palestine Committee Zurich.
According to his own terror-rag The Electronic Intifada:
Abunimah’s arrest appears to be part of a growing backlash from Western governments against expressions of solidarity with the Palestinian people.

The Electronic Intifada team stands in solidarity with Ali Abunimah. Speaking out against injustice in Palestine is not a crime. Journalism is not a crime.

But naturally, this is not why he was arrested.
Speaking out “in solidarity with the Palestinian people” and “‘Speaking out against injustice in Palestine” are alone not crimes (although highly suspect when you only speak out for palestinian Arabs when Israel is the so-called perpetrator against them, and for alleged crimes that never actually occurred).
According to Swiss news site NZZ:
Abunimah is not allowed to travel to Zurich, confirms the responsible government councilor and security director Mario Fehr.
In response to a query from the NZZ, he explained: “We do not want an Islamist Jew-hater who calls for violence in Switzerland.”
The Fedpol issues entry bans if a person endangers Switzerland’s internal or external security.
I am not sure I would call Abumination an “Islamist” but he is most certainly a supporter of Hamas, an Islamist terror organization. And most certainly a Jew-hater.
While I have documented much of his antisemitism and terror support, here is a reminder of some of his post October 7 musings:
“Abunimah and his platform are a mouthpiece for Hamas,” says Thomas Patzko. He is a board member of Never Again Is Now, a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating anti-Semitism.
“On social media, he shares content from the armed wing of Hamas and mourns its ‘martyrs.'” Abunimah delegitimizes the victims of the terrorist attack on October 7, specifically women and children, says Patzko.
What this means can be read in Abunimah’s public posts on the X platform. There he wrote, among other things: “There is no credible evidence of a single rape on October 7.”
Israel killed its own people on October 7 and is trying to blame Hamas for it. He also posted: “The Zionists always measure their success by how many babies they kill.” Abunimah also said that Iran’s attacks on Israel were an “act in the name of humanity.”
It is no stretch to believe a person who publicly states these things could pose a security threat to Switzerland (and Jews everywhere).
Not to mention elks.

Meanwhile, some of his allies discussing his arrest have provided yet more proof that Jew-hatred is the fuel that drives their movement:
Watch as some Israel-haters blame the Zurich arrest of antisemitic terror supporter "Abumination" @AliAbunimah on "hidden actors" (without proof of course).

Amazing how antisemitism is so ingrained in these "anti-Zionists." pic.twitter.com/xPAXpNQUWY
