Meet Arthur Kwon Lee:
A “relatively obscure contemporary artist Korean American painter” (according to claude.ai), Kwon Lee seems to have decided at some point that being an antisemitic Holocaust denying White supremacist is more lucrative than his seemingly dead-end art career.
That’s right. They don’t make White supremacists like they used to.
Be that as it may, Lee is not the sharpest brush stroke, as this recent video of his demonstrates:
For a start, not everyone he mentions is even Jewish.
John Kerry was born into a Catholic family, and there is no public indication that he has Jewish ancestry or identifies with Judaism. Likewise with Henry Rollins.
Not only that, but Kwon Lee gets some of the names wrong. Gal Gadot’s real name is – wait for it – Gal Gadot. And Binyamin Netanyahu’s real name is – wait for it – Binyamin Netanyahu. Which makes sense – why would openly Israeli celebrities change their names to obscure the fact they are Jewish and “blend in with the Gentiles”? Kind of hard to hide their Jewishness, I would have thought. Netanyahu is the Prime Minister of Israel for goodness sake! And it’s not like “Gal Gadot” and “Binyamin Netanyahu” are not clearly Jewish, Hebrew sounding names.
It is as moronic as someone claiming Kwon Lee is hiding his Korean roots by having the first name “Arthur.”
As I said, he’s not the sharpest brush stroke.
What’s more, some of the celebrities he listed – like Bob Dylan – changed their name because they felt their birth name sounded too Jewish at a time when antisemitism was more prevalent in American society. Which is ironic, because Kwon Lee represents a resurgence in American society.
Others has different reasons. Jon Stewart, for example, said in a 2002 interview with 60 Minutes that his strained relationship with his father influenced the decision (Stewart saw no reason to keep carrying his father’s name professionally, and changed his last name to a variation on his middle name “Stuart”). Others, like Jonah Hill, did it more to “fit in better with the Hollywood scene,” while Mel Brooks simply wanted a shorter, catchier name with more “show business” appeal than “Kaminsky.”
Whatever the reason, it is not, as Kwon Lee alleges, to pass as Whites in order to “conceal the power structure and the cultural revisionism operating the system” while “hiding the ideological subversion they are normalizing on to the masses” (whatever that word salad means). While some have changed their names, they all stand openly and proudly as Jews, speaking about their Jewish identity freely. Some, like Mel Brooks, inject their Judaism in to everything they do (show me one Mel Brooks movie that does not contain Yiddish or other Jewish references).
Using Kwon Lee’s own “logic”, one could suggest that his very own hero was trying to subvert Western civilization:
