Yesterday was one of the hardest days for Israel and indeed the Jewish people, with Hamas ostensibly releasing the bodies of dead Israeli hostages – 84-year-old Oded Lifschitz, Shiri Bibas, and her two young sons, 4-year-old Ariel Bibas and 10-month-old Kfir, in a sick, staged propaganda event.
But even after that, they had some more depraved “surprises” in store for us.
Hours after the release, three empty buses containing explosives exploded in quick succession in parking lots in the Tel Aviv suburbs of Bat Yam and Holon. According to a Channel 12 news report, the devices were slated to explode this morning, when they would have been packed with commuters including school children, but it seems the terrorists may have incorrectly set the timers. A Telegram channel claiming to represent Hamas’s so-called Tulkarem Battalion posted the message “The revenge of the martyrs will not be forgotten so long as the occupier is present on our land… This is a jihad of either victory or martyrdom.”
And if this mass casualty attempt was not enough, specialists at Abu Kabir Forensic Institute comfirmed that the returned children’s bodies did belong to young Ariel and Kfir, and they had been brutally murdered in Hamas captivity, but the other body was not of their mother Shiri.
Let that sink in for a minute.
This is cruelty upon cruelty, the likes of which are hard to imagine, but are part and parcel of palestinian Arab society. Yet so many people still support them. Justify their actions. Spread their propaganda.
History will not look kindly on palestinian Arab society… or their supporters.
