Haters Go After Kiwi Hero Paul Fisher

A few days ago I posted this clip of a New Zealand man absolutely serving it up to the Israel-haters, which went viral on X and Instagram:

He has now been identified as Paul Fisher, a lawyer from Waikato, New Zealand. And the haters are going after him.

An enraged Waikato-based lawyer has been captured on video yelling at pro-Palestinian protesters and calling them “anti-Semitic pigs”.

In a 40-second long video that has been widely shared on social media Paul Fisher can be seen standing on the road and repeatedly screaming at a small group of protesters, to the point spit flies from his mouth.

His actions, which are believed to have occurred in Cambridge on Saturday, have shocked many people, with some going as far as to make formal complaints about him to the Law Society.

Neither Fisher nor his law firm have responded to requests for comment today, nor has the New Zealand Law Society confirmed whether complaints have been received.

The protest was organised by the group Cambridge for Palestine, but is overseen by the Palestine Solidarity Network Aotearoa.

Its chairman, activist John Minto, said he had sent Fisher an email requesting to meet to have an informed discussion about the Israel – Palestine conflict.

“It’s clear he’s got the wrong end of the stick somewhere,” Minto said.

He told NZME he believed “Mr Fisher is someone who is just blind to what Israel is doing in the most appalling way”.

“What he said was utterly appalling.”

Minto said that he wouldn’t be making a complaint to the Law Society but was aware others had and hoped the organisation would be following up with Fisher.

One of those who reposted the video is former Herald columnist and law student who writes about Palestinian issues, Shaneel Lal.

Lal said they were going to make a complaint to the Law Society and knew people who had already done so.

“This man was fuming,” Lal said, “He was literally foaming at the mouth.”

“It brings the legal profession into disrepute,” Lal said.

“The Law Society has the mandate to investigate this, and they should.”

Angela Sylvia is a member of protest group Palestine Waikato and has made a complaint about Fisher’s conduct.

“His behaviour is not becoming of someone who represents the law,” she said.

Fisher, who is a partner at law firm Clancy Fisher Oxner & Bryant, is based in Tokoroa.

As far as I am concerned, Paul said nothing wrong. Most, if not all, of these protesters either hate Jews or are prejudiced against us. And judging from this post from the Palestine Solidarity Network Aotearoa Instagram page, members of the Jewish community certainly think so, leading to this denial:

Posting constant lies about the Jewish state, as well as a video of antisemitic terror supporter Mohammed El-Kurd, does nothing to dispel this notion:

And they certainly don’t condemn Hamas. Heck, they seem to support them:

The fact they have reported Paul to the New Zealand Law Society is a joke. If anyone needs to be reported for bringing the profession in to disrepute, it would be any lawyers among these protesters… but especially health care workers:

Please show support for Paul in the commments. And use his law firm if you are located in Tokoroa.

Paul, you are a legend. My offer to buy you some beers stands. You might just need to come to Israel for them.
