In case you thought Ha’aretz “journalist” (I use the term very loosely) Gideon Levy had gone as low as he could go with his hatred of Israel, think again.
He recently appeared on the podcast of one of the worst terror-supporting Jew-haters out there: Jackson Hinkle (aka Jackoff Dick Wrinkle).
After receiving much flack for this, Levy issued the following apology:
Assuming Levy is telling the truth, this would make him a terrible journalist at best. What journalist would accept an interview with someone without checking who they are first? A simple Google search of Hinkle’s name or look at his Twitter/X timeline reveals the disturbing truth about him very quickly.
But I do not assume Levy is telling the truth, based on what I saw when I watched the interview. You be the judges.
As you will see, Levy did not stop the interview following Hinkle’s October 7 rape denialism, which even involved him mentioning to Levy that Levy’s own Ha’aretz had threatened to sue him! This didn’t already warn Levy as to Hinkle’s “real character”?
Levy continued with the interview, which lasted over 25 minutes after this, even defending arch antisemite Roger Waters – who has also denied the atrocities of October 7 (something for which Levy himself even criticized him). What’s more, when he learned Hinkle was visiting terrorist Houthi-controlled Yemen, he not only did not appear alarmed, but joked he would like to come visit. How could he claim to be surprised that Hinkle was on team Houthi, and later posed with a rifle?
Gideon Levy is not just full of hate. He is full of sh*t.
