Remember antisemitic terror-tubby Abbas Hamideh, Rashida Tlaib’s acquaintance (or friend)?

I haven’t written about him in a while, but that’s not to say he hasn’t been working feverishly to continue his obsession with demonizing Jews and the Jewish state.
And one of his latest is a real doozy:

Here’s an overview of the global Jewish population by country (top ten only):
Country | Estimated Jewish Population |
Israel | 7.4 million |
United States | 7.4 million |
France | 440,000 |
Canada | 398,000 |
UK | 312,000 |
Argentina | 171,000 |
Russia | 132,000 |
Germany | 125,000 |
Australia | 117,000 |
Brazil | 90,500 |
Iran’s not there. That’s because they have approximately only 9,000–12,000 Jews. So to say Iran has one of the largest Jewish communities on Earth is akin to saying Abbas Hamideh is one of the skinniest people alive.
And that’s not the only ludicrous thing about Hamideh’s post.
To point to any criticism of Israel from the Iranian Jewish community and extrapolate from this that it means the Iranian regime is not an anti-Jewish monster, is plain dumb.
Iranian Jews know that public criticism of the regime or Israel-supportive statements could endanger their safety, businesses, synagogues, or family members. True, Jews are granted legal protection as a recognized religious minority — but only as long as they don’t cross certain political lines. We have seen members of Iran’s Jewish community murdered by the regime.
And yes, the regime is not just anti-Zionist-not-antisemitic. They have literally held Holocaust cartoon contests.
Meanwhile, I assume Rashida Tlaib herself would approve of her buddy’s messaging:
