Meet “Sallyboy”:

An Instagram user, “Sallyboy” is also a political activist with rather troubling views.
And by troubling, I mean support for terrorist groups like the Japanese Red Army, responsible for the murder of at least 40 people in various terrorist attacks and operations worldwide, including the Lod Airport Massacre in 1972:

and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), responsible for the murder of hundreds of people – primarily civilians -through hijackings, bombings, and armed attacks since its founding in 1967:

These Marxist groups supposedly align with his “anti-Imperialism” worldview

yet he is more than willing to enjoy the creature comforts of Australia

which includes pursuing a Masters in Neuroscience:

That’s right, this brain scientist truly believes he is contributing “to the betterment of humanity” by supporting bloodthirsty, murderous terrorists.
Now, normally, I might not write about someone like this. He has a relatively small following and is clearly a sick puppy with mental health problems.
But he also happens to be a Wikipedia user “with 3.1 million reads” (according to his Instagram bio)

A look at his Wikiepedia user page shows he has contributed to articles including Mental health in Palestine, and “journalists” Ashraf Amra, and Noor Harazeen, who have both expressed support for terrorism.
Even though I have not gone through all of his contributions and edits, an editor who openly supports designated terrorist organizations poses a credibility risk, even if they haven’t yet broken the rules. Their presence undermines confidence in Wikipedia’s neutrality, especially on topics like Israel, Palestine, Hamas, and terrorism.
So here you have it: a self-proclaimed humanitarian, sipping lattes in Australia while fangirling over terrorists who blow up airports and hijack planes.
And if this is who’s shaping Wikipedia’s “neutral” content on Israel and terrorism… maybe it’s time we all started clicking that “edit” button a bit more often.
