I am a few days late with this, but I suspect many of you have not seen it yet.

The student has since been identified as Politics Philosophy and Economics student Samuel Williams. Back to him shortly.
Just to be clear, the word “Zio” was popularized by Grand Wizard of the KKK David Duke, and always refers to Jews. Even assuming Samuel Williams and friends did not know this, they are still calling for the murder of over 90% of Jews and non-Jews who also believe in the existence of the state of Israel.
Also, the chant does not properly rhyme – which offends me as a writer.
Looking at Williams, my gaydar suggests to me that a visit to Gaza would ensure he be put in the ground – by his Hamas heroes.
And despite looking like a left-wing anarchist, he might also be a fan of a particular Austrian painter who would also not be a fan of Samuel’s lifestyle choices. Just a hunch.
Clearly, Samuel is a confused boy. So it is no surprise he also hates the US and the UK, which afford him all the freedoms in the world:

Oxford has promised to… speak to him. But there is a hint of possible disciplinary action:
“The University of Oxford condemns, in the strongest possible terms, any language urging violence against groups of people or expressing any form of racial hatred. The University’s support for freedom of speech does not extend to any statements including such language.
“When such language is reported, we will always want to speak to the student concerned, and consider the matter under our disciplinary procedures in line with University and college policies.”
Anything short of a full suspension would be lenient. And he needs to be charged by the police for incitement to murder.
If you agree that this can’t be brushed off and are in the UK, tell Oxford and your local police – make noise, share the clip, and don’t let this disappear under the rug. Silence is the one thing the bullies count on. Not today.
