Owen Shroyer is an online “host” who like so many before him, realizes that antisemitism pays.
In a recent example of his Jew hatred, he attempts to “prove” that modern-day Jews do not come from the historical land of Israel. His proof? The real names of the former Israeli Prime Ministers are European.
As you can see, the antisemite cannot even pronounce their well-known Hebrew names:
New drinking game: take a shot every time this boofhead @OwenShroyer1776 mispronounces the names of the Israeli Prime Ministers

P.S “European” names reflected diaspora residence, not non-Israelite ancestry pic.twitter.com/yqaMOKKGna
If Shroyer bothered looking at the Wikipedia entries more carefully, he would see some come with a handy audio files to assist with the pronunciations. Others admittedly don’t, but if you are trying to make fun of people’s names, you really should at least do your research and not make a dumbass of yourself.
You’re welcome, boofhead.

Pronunciations aside, the antisemite’s entire point is moot. Having a European-sounding surname does not mean someone isn’t descended from the ancient Israelites. Many Jews were forced to adopt local-style surnames by Christian rulers (like in Poland during the 18th–19th centuries). Others chose names that reflected occupations, towns, or characteristics in the local language. In other cases, some Hebrew or biblical names were translated or adapted. So the original “European” names of some of our Israeli Prime Ministers reflected diaspora residence, not non-Israelite ancestry.
Jewish identity traces back to the ancient Israelites through religious, cultural, and genetic continuity, not through language or naming. Names evolved as Jews lived under different empires.
Every syllable the antisemite sneers at is a reminder that we’re still here. Sucks to be him.
