Al Jizz Plus have uploaded the following video, supposedly of Gazan kids not knowing what an apple or banana is. Because, starvation.
The Instagram account the original video was taken from is maherhabboush, a bodybuilding coach.
This is him during the supposed “starvation” in Gaza:
Granted, he seems to have lot some weight – there has been less food in Gaza, after all – but starving?
And while Al Jizz promotes with his video the idea that Gazans have been starving, his own Instagram shows also some of the food they have been eating during the last two years.
And yes, it includes apples and bananas!
My point? We have all been fed lies.
Yes, there were some food shortages in Gaza these past years because war and Hamas looted the food trucks and sold the food at inflated prices. But stories of starvation have been bloated – kind of like our bodybuilding friend over here.
