Israel-haters have alleged that an “Israel settler” ran over two palestinian Arab female students in Hebron, even posting the supposed footage:

Footage of 3 Palestinian girls, female students being ran over on purpose by an israeli in the west bank this morning.

This allegation was amplified by the likes of “journalist” Ana Kasparian:

Except it wasn’t true. While the incident did occur, the driver was not Israeli. He was reportedly a palestinian Arab. But don’t take my word for it – take the word of an anti-Israel palestinian Arab:

Not that this was enough for Ana Kasparian:

even though the receipts kept on coming:

Translation: Three high school students were injured, one seriously, and are in intensive care after being run over by an unlicensed vehicle driver while on their way to school this morning in Tarqumiya, Hebron district. Police have impounded the vehicle and arrested the driver.
Ihab Hassan’s contention that the car was stolen and smuggled from Israel seems to have been inadvertently substantiated by another Israel-hater, who was actually trying to dispute Hassan’s claim (with amplification by Kasparian):

Entering that license number in this website reveals the car (which has an Israeli license plate) was taken off the road on 11/11/2024:

which supports the idea it was stolen and smuggled from inside Israel.
As Ihab Hassan also wrote, Palestine Online did indeed delete the video post, making Ana Kasparian’s decision to keep it up even more inexcusable:

But we pretty much know why the truth does not matter to her when it comes to the Jewish state.

Yup, it all comes down to her having a problem with Jews.
Real journalism requires following the evidence wherever it leads, even if it disrupts your bias. But Ana Kasparian is clearly no real journalist.
For Ana Kasparian and those like her, the truth was never the goal; vilifying Jews and the Jewish state is.
