You might have already seen the video: a front desk clerk at the Oceanpoint Ranch in Cambria harassing some Israelis checking in to the establishment.

He was proud of this vile behavior; we know this because he was the one who uploaded and posted the video.
The man has since been identified as Ryan Smith and he is an idiot – because he was the one who uploaded and posted the video.
Or is he? After losing his job, Smith immediately went to work, grifting for money. And the only thing more pathetic than that is the fact he has already raised even more than he set out.
It turns out harassing people at a reception desk pays a lot better than actually working one.
Note how he claims to have been let go from the job. That’s a lie.
As are his claims about being for “peace and love to all.”
So to summarize: Ryan Smith harassed Jewish guests, filmed it himself, lost his job over it, lied about being “let go,” set up a GoFundMe exploiting his own misconduct, and has now raised nearly $12,000.
Perhaps the most depressing part of the story is not Ryan Smith himself. The most depressing part is that over 450 people looked at this behavior – the harassment and the intimidation – and decided this was someone worthy of financial reward.
