AI his an incredible tool that, when used correctly, can increase efficiency and allow one’s creativity to blossom.
When used incorrectly, the results are truly cringeworthy.
Case in point: an anti-Israel social media account called Lovin Palestine, which posted the story of a Gazan man and his son, who swam 7 kilometers through the night from Turkey to Greece with just swimming fins and inflatable rings:
The real miracle here may not be the alleged swim.
It may be that whoever used AI managed to transform the Gazan father into a guy from the US Midwest, have him morph into a completely different guy, have him and his son swim underwater in the light – despite it being the middle of night – looking like something out of a Caribbean holiday brochure, and somehow find inflatable rings in the ocean at the end of their swim.
Remember, these were all choices. I mean, I personally would have gone with something like the below, inspired by the propaganda outfit’s name.

And the best part? They notify us that these are AI-generated images as if we wouldn’t have been able to tell.
As for the story itself, it seems to have originated from this X account. Although it did make its way to some media outlets like ynet, I have not found any official public confirmation of it to verify its authenticity.
Because let’s face it.Palestinian Arab propaganda has a habit of being as credible as these AI images.
