“Anti-Zionist-not-antisemite” Hash Tayeh has shared the following video of Jewish Israelis attacking, spitting on, and verbally abusing a “social media influencer from Thailand”:
Clearly, Hash is suggesting that they did so solely because she is not Jewish and thus looked down on by Jews.
As usual, Hash Tayeh is being dishonest.
While I absolutely do not condone the Jewish man and kids assaulting the woman under any circumstances, the context of these attacks is relevant.
The woman is a well-known missionary. I know this, because she has appeared on here before prosletyzing to Jews and Muslims in Israel:

Not just that, but she is known for going to the Jewish Quarter on the Jewish Shabbat to proselytize, a day of rest for Jews in which we are forbidden to operate things like electrical devices. For her to do so using her microphone in the Jewish Quarter on Shabbat is an added level of provocation.
As you can see, she is no mere “Thai influencer” who came here to “publicly show her support for Israel.” She came to missionize to non-Christian Israelis, most of whom just ignored her.
Heck, I have come into contact with her before; she appears in this video from 2024, filming me as I strike back verbally against her fellow missionary who was invoking antisemitic tropes as – unfortunately for her – I happened to walk by.

In addition to not showing this, Hash Tayeh also does not show how Israeli Muslims and others react to such missionizing.
But in a recent interview with Christian website All Israel News, Sarah Willis, the main missionary of the viral video, has admitted that she has been physically assaulted also by Muslims in Israel, as well as by people in the UK:
Willis explained that it isn’t only religious Jews who react aggressively to her preaching, as Arabs have reacted badly as well.
“I shared the gospel in Nazareth and I had a guy try to hit me… and he threw a glass bottle at us,” she said.
Willis said she preaches in a similar manner in her home country of England and has received significant backlash there as well.
Heck, if she tried this in Gaza or a Muslim country, being spat on would be the least of her worries.
Calling this woman a ‘Thai influencer’ is like calling a bank robber a ‘currency enthusiast’. It’s technically words, but it’s not the truth. While the reaction she received was ugly, the claim that she was targeted for her ethnicity is a blatant lie.
Not that Hash Tayeh cares about the woman. He only cares about weaponizing this video taken out of context in order to demonize Jews.
