Burger King employee in Breinigsville, Pennsylvania: I am going to Free Palestine myself out of a job.
McDonald’s employee in Brisbane, Australia: Hold my beer.
A Brisbane McDonald’s worker has been stood down after allegedly making antisemitic remarks towards two Jewish men.
The worker was caught on camera yelling “free Palestine” at the two men during the shocking incident, which unfolded at McDonald’s in Cannon Hill late on Tuesday night.
One of the men, Asaf, who asked to have his last name redacted for his safety, said he began recording the heated confrontation after a female staff member became “abusive” when they raised that a burger was missing from their order.
“She just asked us where are we from,” Asaf said.
He said he initially told the worker he was from a nearby suburb before she asked him again.
“I told her I’m from Israel and then she said, ‘Oh yeah, free Palestine’,” he said.
Asaf said the worker continued yelling “free, free Palestine”.
Asaf said he was left feeling “shaken” by the exchange and asked to speak to a manager but said the confrontation then escalated.
He said staff refused to provide a refund and accused the pair of lying about missing items from their order.
Asaf also claimed the woman called the pair “baby killers” before they were asked to leave.
He said he had spoken to police and was directed to contact the Australian Human Rights Commission.

A McDonald’s Australia spokeswoman said the behaviour was unacceptable and not in line with the company’s values and principles.
“McDonald’s sincerely apologises to the customers for their experience,” the spokeswoman said.
“As soon as we were made aware, we took immediate action and the employee has been stood down pending the outcome of our investigation.
“McDonald’s has a zero-tolerance policy for acts of hate and antisemitism in our restaurants and communities.”
The spokeswoman said the company was committed to creating “safe, respectful and inclusive environments for our customers and crew” and any behaviour that did not align with these values is unacceptable.
Just another fast food worker deciding to Free Palestine herself out of a job no doubt.

Minimum wage meets maximum bigotry.
Didn’t she know that “Free Palestine” comes with a free side of unemployment? Or perhaps she did know that and her plan was to get fired and start a GoFundMe.
