Just Another Harmless Hamas Loving Hobbyist At Play

Remember the fight I had with New York Times Jerusalem bureau chief, Jodi Rudoren? She accused me of posting “violent, threatening comments” after I called for the IDF to start shooting people who are in the process of throwing rocks at cars. It’s quite simple in my mind: throwing rocks at cars is attempted murder. It has led to deaths in the past and will probably do so in the future.

Asher Yonatan PalmerThis all came in response to what I felt was a massive piece of journalistic malfeasance: her, at times, gushingly sympathetic portrayal of young Arab men who go out and throw stones (or worse) at Israeli citizens. To the right you can see the smiling face of a little boy and his father, both murdered by rock throwing Arabs.

Jodi’s enormous piece included the following title and quote:

Rocks in Hand a Boy Fights for his West Bank Village

“Children have hobbies, and my hobby is throwing stones,” Muhammad explained weeks before his most recent arrest. “A day with a confrontation is better than a free day.”

Well yet again (and we don’t report every such occurrence here at Israellycool) this happened:

Arab-rock throwing terrorists attack with the intent of murder by causing injuries to a Jewish driver and forcing him to lose control of his vehicle so that it crashes.

A resident of the southern Hevron Hills is in serious condition from injuries to the skull after an Arab rock-throwing terrorist hit him in the head shortly after midnight Saturday, forcing his car to overturn.

The victim’s wife and baby, who were traveling in the car on their way home, were not hurt.

The terrorist struck between Al Aroob and Carmei Tzur, immediately south of Gush Etzion and one of the favorite launching areas for Arab attacks on Jewish drivers. The IDF routinely stations jeeps in the area, but restraints on dealing with rock-throwers have hampered deterrence.

Too right: “restraints on dealing with rock-throwers have hampered deterrence”. Just as restraints on dealing with Hamas mean the South of Israel is still under massive rocket bombardment, another beautiful little four year old is dead and more alarms sounded as I wrote this post, we need to start fighting this war as if we mean to win it.

So yes, if our army spots anyone about to throw a rock at a car, I believe soldiers should be allowed to do anything in their power to stop them.
