Israeli News – Sunday 3rd February

  • Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak has announced he intends to stay on in the coalition, obviously so he can make profound statements such as: “”The construction of a fence on the border with Egypt is an urgent need.”
  • How urgent? Well let’s just say some pretty serious weaponry has made its way into Gaza, not to mention dozens of operatives from all of the different terror organizations in Syria, Iran, and Egypt. And let’s not forget the lion and monkey.
  • From the Department of Extreme Optimism: Israel is to ask the PA to repair Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus, the Jewish holy site demolished by the palestinians in a matter of hours after the IDF left the area.
  • Some positive signs, though, with West Bank palestinian police returning 43 cars stolen from Israel. Which works out to less than half the amount of cars stolen by palestinians each day.
  • IAEA Chief Mohamed ElBaradei, is not concerned about Arab countries using nuclear energy for power development, at least not as concerned as I am that the man not concerned about the nuclear aspirations of Arab countries is called Mohamed ElBaradei.
