Sa’id was born in the Khan Younis refugee camp on 26 January 1974 to an observant Muslim family uprooted from Al-Jura village near Askalan in 1948. He had 6 brothers and 4 sisters. He was married and has 3 daughters and one son: Hadil, Heba, Asma and Anas (mini-Anas? – ed). His wife is due to deliver their fifth child in a few months.
