A Taste of “Concentration Camp” Gaza: Islamic University of Gaza
Inspired by the Gaza mall photos, I will endeavor to feature various facilities from Gaza over the next few weeks, with the aim of providing readers with a glimpse into the real Gaza, which is anything but a concentration camp as some claim.
My point is not that there is no hardship in Gaza, but rather that the situation is a far cry from what is being presented by the palestinians, their supporters and the mainstream media.
Introducing the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG).
Home to over 20,000 students, IUG is located near the sea and contains a pretty campus including:
- IUG Museum
- Assistive Technology Center (ATC)
- Labs
- Library
- Conferences Building

A nice post to read, thank you. As muslims we must remember that Islam teaches us many different qualities and aspects of our lives, but that we must also work to improve ourselves. A small change in ourselves can lead to a big change if others appreciate our efforts and follow.

Why are You amazed by beatiful buildings? A university should exist in every country – but more importantly freedom and the same basic needs as food, medicine, etc that we normal “westerners” have access to. The problem is not that Gaza have amazing buildings (the ones that are anyway lefte after the shameful Isralei war on her), but that Israel is breaking elementary human rights. Did someone miss something here, or what??????????????????????

One of the things you missed is that Hamas has plenty of resources to build universities, hotels, mansions, but nothing to rebuild the homes they booby-trapped anticipating Israel would take action to stop the barrage of rockets aimed at civilians in Israel. You also missed that this “university” is for indoctrination and fomenting war, not at building a freely educated and prosperous society–which might be more likely to want peace.
