Hamas’ Latest Blood Libel

This post is dedicated to those people who think “settlements” is the impediment to peace, and palestinian incitement is a myth.

Let’s cede some more land to these people. I’m sure good things can happen!

  1. I don’t think anybody says that settlements are the ONLY obstacle to peace, but they are a HUGE part.

41% of Israeli Jews think settlements are a significant obstacle to peace, compared to 46% of Palestinians.

This is a tough problem to overcome. Both sides have agreed to land-swaps for much of the settlements, but the sticking point remains East Jerusalem.

A independent Palestinian state needs East Jerusalem as its capital, but the Israeli government and public have yet to agree to this. The situation is stuck.

    1. If you tell a lie over and over again you will believe it.
Forget it. They don’t want east Jerusalem. They want a “Judenrein” state, from the Jordan to the sea.
      Live with it.
So, let’s say building houses/apartments in Tel-Aviv is also an obstacle to peace?
Same thing with the areas in Judea and Samaria.

And don’t let the polls fool you, I can get you the exact opposite results with the exact same question.
Maybe you should educate yourself and get some facts right:

      1. What lie did I tell? The polls are a lie? The official positions of the Palestinians are lies? Just because you don’t like something, doesn’t mean its a lie.

A Palestinian state from “Jordan to the sea” isn’t the official position of the Palestinians or any Arab country, so I’m not sure where you are getting that.

Houses in Tel-Aviv aren’t the same thing as houses in the West Bank or Gaza. Tel-Aviv is internationally recognized as legal Israeli land. The West Bank and Gaza are internationally recognized as legal Palestinian land. At the very least, its disputed territory, something Tel-Aviv is not.

Try to link to actual sources of information, not some old guy blathering on about nonsense, for which he has no sources, only his opinion.

          1. Palestine was recognized by the British as a territory, it doesn’t matter if it wasn’t an official “state”.

By your logic, I can come steal your house, because it wasn’t a “state”?

            1. the only people who stole anything, were the arab states who forced out jews with only the clothes on their back

a territory is not a state

            2. The British Mandate of palestine included what is now Jordan, Israel, the Gaza Strip and Judea & Samaria.

So if you use the British definition BOTH Israel AND Jordan occupy Palestine.

        1. How do you know what the official position of the Palestinians or the Arab states are? The texts that they use in their schools speak about a Judenrein state from “the river to the sea”, then I would prefer to err on the side of caution.(There are quite a few websites out there which have documented these texts; and even the UN which never misses an opportunity to peddle Pallywood-porn has expressed concern on the contents of these texts since a large number of schools where these are taught are financed by the UN.)

I would agree with the what the UN and the international community says when it finds the cojones to condemn the Chinese occupation of Tibet, the British occupation of Gibraltar and the Falkland Islands, the Saudi human rights violations in the Hejaz and the Iranian torture of political dissidents and minorities with the same alacrity that it employs while blaming Israel.

          1. How do you NOT know what the official positions are? They are the expressed positions during negotiations with Israel and the US, as well as the UN.

I don’t really care what the Palestinians teach their children, as a similar case can be made that Israeli’s are equally brain-washed. Many Israeli’s believe there were no Palestinians prior to 1948, that the ethnic cleansing didn’t occur in 1948, and that the Palestinians have no right to the West Bank and Gaza.

The UN condemns all those things, though maybe not at the same frequency as Israel. This could be because Israeli’s crimes are quite a bit worse then the instances you list above.

            1. What is important is what the palestinians really mean, and not what they tell a western audience. And we know what they really mean by their charters and what they tell their own people in Arabic. To think otherwise is incredibly naive. And dangerous.

I don’t really care what the Palestinians teach their children, as a similar case can be made that Israeli’s are equally brain-washed.

              Wow, what an outright lie.

Make the case. Provide instances of Israeli textbooks proving your point, or even television programming. These proofs exist regarding the palestinians.

        2. Don’t let the facts fool you:

Senior PA official: “All of Palestine – from the river to the sea – it’s all occupied”

Palestinians “own this land” “from the sea to the river”
Israeli Arab journalist: Must protect Palestine from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River

Professor Azmi Bishara: There Is No “Palestinian Nation”, Never Was !
Mordechai Kedar in al-Jazeera about Jerusalem & Islam
“Palestine means Holy War on Jews”

But anyway it won’t matter what facts you get, you just like to live your lie.
face it: Until 1967 there was never a “people” who called themselves “Palestinians”. Do you even know that their name is from the Roman empire? they can’t even pronounce it. (The letter “P” doesn’t exist in the Arab language)
Hebron (2nd holiest city of the Jews), Sh’chem (Nablus), Bet-Lechem (Bethlehem) don’t even have Arab names. (Nablus came from “Naples”, very Arabic indeed)
The Arab population in the land never saw themselves as a nation, never had a ruler, traditions, etc.

I won’t bother anymore, because you don’t care about the truth only about Arab propaganda. It has been shown many time, also here at this blog, that the Arabs are not interested at all at a real peace.

Abbas: We won’t recognize Israel as Jewish state

Abbas: ‘Not a single Israeli’ in future Palestinian state

          1. Unless you can link to real sources, don’t bother responding. I can quote dozens of inflammatory statements by Israeli government officials, however since that isn’t the Israeli government’s “official” position, its meaningless.

The only one spouting propaganda is you. I am using internationally recognized sources of information, from South America, to North America, to Europe, to Africa, to Asia, ALL of which dispute this nonsense that there were no Palestinians until 1967 (they were there for centuries).

Also, the Palestinians are under NO legal obligation to recognize Israel as a Jewish state, OR to promise that Israeli’s will live in a future Palestinian state (where they don’t own any land legally).

            1. Where have you linked to even real source? All I have seen from you is empty anti-Israel propaganda.

I have tolerated your comments until now because the rebuttals and your responses are very informative (you do not come out looking good).

Don’t bother commenting again, because all further comments will be deleted. You will not use my comment threads as your propaganda outlet.

              Ciao!

  2. How can we dare to defend ourselves against tens of thousands of rockets coming from Gaza! We are really bloodthirsty monsters, no doubt!

    1. 1.) The thousands of rockets hitting Israel is only a FRACTION of the firepower unleashed on Palestine.

2.) Israel engenders violence when it illegally occupies Palestinian land, destroying their homes and resources, to make way for Jewish only settlements.

      1. 1) Israel targets terrorists and rocket launchers. Hamas and the other terror orgs target civilians. Don’t dare equate the two.

        2) Those firing the rockets view all of Israel as an illegal occupation of their land, and the rockets won’t end until we are driven in to the sea. Is that your view too? Is all of Israel their land, pray tell?

Also, you are implying we deserve these rockets being fired at us. Tread very carefully…

  3. Dave, do you really think those of us who support your government’s decision to participate in the ongoing peace process with the Palestinians with the desired outcome of a negotiated agreement between the two sides is in any significant way like the Hamas scumbags who put out the filthy lies displayed here?

      1. I’m relieved. I took your comments on settlements and the two-state solution in a post about a vile claim by Hamas to make some comparison between the two. My apologies for thinking you were in any way likening people of good will who support the two-state solution and some Hamas scumbags. I should have known better.
