Israellycool Wins 2014 Hasby Award For Best Pro-Israel Blog

Israellycool is the winner of this year’s Best Pro-Israel Blog category in the Hasby Awards.

hasby8

The Hasby Awards is the brainchild of fellow blogger (and former Israellycool contributor) Elder of Ziyon. It is essentially his opinion, and not the result of popular vote.

But given he is a very talented blogger (he was runner up in the inaugural and only Pro Israel Blog-Off in 2011 after all), a super mensch in real life, and I respect his opinion, I’ll gladly accept this award.

Thank you Elder for the award and for the sterling work you do for Israel and the Jewish people.

I’d like to thank the amazing Israellycool team: Brian of London, Judge Dan, Jono, Zionist Shark, Real JStreets, Varda, Deebo, Ryan and Orim.

Our amazing readers. Without you, we are nothing.

The other nominees. All awesome, all the time.

ScarJo, thanks for the support.

The Queen of England, thanks for nothing.

And last, but not least, my amazing wife Erika (who incidentally has been told looks like ScarJo) and gorgeous children. Love ya!

Congrats, Dave. While we’re all in the giving mood, I’ve decided to give myself the Best Commenter Award in the category of American Goyim over 60 Participating on Pro-Israel Blog. I feel like a winner. Life is good, and thanks to all the little people in this Comment Section who made this award possible.

In other Really Good News this morning, Scarlett Johansson cuts ties with Oxfam:
    http://www.algemeiner.com/2014/01/30/scarlett-johansson-cuts-ties-with-oxfam-over-groups-support-for-bds-movement/

Her statement, as always, was very classy:

“Scarlett Johansson has respectfully decided to end her ambassador role with Oxfam after eight years,” her statement said. “She and Oxfam have a fundamental difference of opinion in regards to the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement. She is very proud of her accomplishments and fundraising efforts during her tenure with Oxfam.”

Why u linking to Algemeiner when we posted on this?

I was just coming back to metaphorically smack myself on the forehead!

For some reason when I went to Israellycool 10 minutes (or so) ago, my browser hadn’t refreshed properly and I didn’t see your post.

I should have known you would be way ahead of me!

    Mazal tov.

And continue to good work, love reading your blog, even if I don’t agree with everything.

    A few points:
    1. What’s with the electric-car posts from Brian?
    2. I hope you wife’s doing good, we are praying for her everyday.
    3. I really think Jim should get also an award, except the one he mentioned (LOL!!!), for the most blurred comments (aka hard to understand cynical/ironic style)
    4. And as an Aussie, you have to thank the Queen for still keeping you as one of their conquered countries, just like Canada ;-) (“The Queen of Australia” she is)

Again, keep up the good work!
