Death of 16-Year-Old Palestinian You Won’t Hear About From MSM And Human Rights Groups (Updated)

Meet 16-year-old Hasan al-Sari.

He’s dead now.

.
Hasan was killed while digging a tunnel for Hamas. The photo on the left was apparently taken right before the work accident.

As the title of this post states, I very much doubt his death will be reported elsewhere. For the simple reason that Israel did not kill him.

But had Israel killed him, it would be all over the news. And he would be counted as a civilian, given his age, despite his belonging to Hamas and being engaged in terrorist activities.

Update: Commenter Bob found some more pics of young Hasan, including this:

hasan

So he wasn’t just a tunnel digger subcontractor.

Bob has also found this video of him taken moments before he died.

.
Update: Maan News reports the accident as if he was just a regular kid who fell in to a ditch (hat tip: PTWatch)

A teenager in Gaza died on Tuesday after falling into a ditch west of Gaza City, a ministry of health spokesman said.

Ashraf al-Qidra said Hassan al-Sirri, 16, was playing sports with friends in the area when he and another friend fell into a two-meter hole.

Civil defense crews arrived at the area and pulled out both teenagers, but al-Sirri was pronounced dead at hospital.

  1. Wrong, he would have been called a child, not a civilian, if Israel was involved at all. But wait they could still make something up, narratives are always subject to edit.

  2. He will STILL be counted as a child victim of Israeli aggresson because, according to the definition used not just by Hamas but by all of the NGOs, he has been killed as ‘part of the conflict’. That is a FACT.

  3. Looking at the Hamas ‘Ministry of Health’ statement quoted by Maan, how could this have happened ‘west of Gaza City’? That’s the Med.

  4. F**king Hamas scum. They have no regards for anyone. They kill children, Musim or Christian makes no difference. They brainwash these kids to think they’re doing a good thing when they are just using them to do the dirty work. If they refuse, they die. If they comply, they die. Islam is an evil political ideology. Muhammad was a murdering pedophile. These people are SO lost.

  5. The UN stationed in Gaza has information confirming the death of about 160 kids during the digging of the tunnels. Hamas used kids cuz their body is small and therefore more effective for digging.

  6. Normally I’m happy to criticize Hamas, but I don’t think you’ve got the story right. I watched the video and Google-translated various Arabic discussions of this, and it seems pretty clear that he and his friends were just playing at the beach. They weren’t actually building a tunnel for Hamas. Unfortunately it’s not that uncommon for people to be killed by collapsing sand while building holes or tunnels at the beach. Public authorities frequently warn against the dangers of digging large holes or tunnels in sand.

From what I understand, Hamas tunnel construction is much more organised and professional than this. They usually tunnel from inside an existing building to avoid detection, not out in the open. They first dig metres straight down, then start digging horizontally. The boy who was killed was just digging a little surface tunnel a few feet long, with two exits. Anyone who knows anything about tunnels would know that you need reinforcement, especially with a dangerous material like sand. I doubt that Hamas had anything to do with that tunnel, aside from perhaps providing inspiration.

Here’s what I think is video of Hamas tunneling. Starts at 3:25.

      1. Oh come on. When you cover this story in such a deluded way you lose credibility. I am very well aware of what goes on in Gaza but your version of this story is obviously incorrect. Did you actually watch the boys’ video? If you think that’s how Hamas operates, I don’t know what to say to you. You’ve lost your objectivity and are sticking with a false version because it feels good.
