The net is abuzz with President Obama’s displeasure over Prime Minister Netanyahu’s upcoming U.S. visit at the invitation of John Boehner. “He spat in our face publicly, and that’s no way to behave,” said one Obama aide. “Netanyahu ought to remember that President Obama has a year and a half left to his presidency, and that there will be a price.”
But what really happened here?
Did Bibi do anything wrong?
Doesn’t seem like it. All he did was accept an invitation from Speaker of the House John Boehner to address Congress about something that threatens the State of Israel on an existential level: Iran, about to go nuclear, having expressed its intention to annihilate the Jewish State.
Iran, about to go nuclear because Obama wants to make nice with the Ayatollahs while Europe is pishing in its pants and while Iran thumbs its nose and laughs at America. Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said so in a broadcast on Iranian television Channel 1 on November 25, “America and the other colonialist European countries banded together, and did everything in their power to bring Iran down to its knees on the nuclear issue. They have not managed to bring Iran to its knees, and they never will.”

As an American, I am furious with President Obama for destroying America as a world power. As an Israeli, I am furious with President Obama for treating Israel, a sovereign nation, with such contempt.
I know. I should be used to it by now.
Remember when Obama was photographed with his shoes up on the Oval Office desk by the official White House photographer during a phone call with Bibi? That was in June 2009.
Remember when Obama threw down a list of 13 demands in front of Bibi and then left him and his entourage to stew for over an hour while the Obamas dined in the residential wing? That was March 2012.
Remember when Obama avoided meeting with Bibi during the UN General Assembly in favor of going on Letterman? That was September 2012.
Remember when Obama stopped taking Bibi’s phone calls, forwarding them instead to Kerry? That was November 2013
Remember when Obama had that hot mic moment with Sarkozy? Okay, we won’t pin THAT one on him. After all, he didn’t KNOW anyone would actually hear him. Other than Sarkozy, that is.

And you know what? I don’t even care if this is about Bibi grandstanding for the sake of elections. He had a right to be front and center at that rally in France, even though they tried to shunt him away, and he damned well has a right to tell Congress about how Iran threatens the entire free world, starting with Israel. I’m glad Bibi responded as he did elections or no.

This effort is worldwide and I will go anywhere I am invited in order to enunciate the State of Israel’s position and in order to defend its future and its existence.”
