BDSHoles Hit A Wall In Attempt To Get Suzanne Vega To Boycott Israel

American singer songwriter Suzanne Vega is set to play in Israel with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra on June 9-10 (the latter show clashing with that of Art Garfunkel and possibly Duran Duran!).

As usual, the BDSHoles are applying pressure on her to boycott Israel.

They are wasting their time.

This will be her fifth time in Israel and she has personally ‘Liked’ messages of support for her performing here – and against the BDSHoles – on her Facebook page.

This 2009 interview probably sheds some light on her feelings towards Israel.

Cool, elegant and eloquent as always, Suzanne Vega had a cozy chat with a room full of journalists in anticipation of her performance tomorrow night, July 19th, at the Mann Auditorium (Hechal HaTarbut) in Tel Aviv. “This is my third or fourth time here,” said Vega, “with ten year gaps in between. I married one Jewish man, then, in the next decade I married another Jewish man, so each time I return I feel more connected.”

Asked how she feels about being in Israel once more, she says, “I feel very happy, content…I feel in the right place,” and offers a parting gift to the assembled group: a brief a capella taste of Tom’s Diner – “a story about breakfast.”

So BDSHoles, feel free to continue wasting your time.

As for Suzanne, thanks for coming and we look forward to your show.

  1. Surprisingly (not!) the BDS fools have remained silent about the Yarmouk camp outside Damascus being terrorized by ISIS. “Palestinian lives matter” – yes but only if it can be blamed on the Jews.

It is more than just a waste of time by the BDSholes. By forcing their targets to publicly confront the hatred behind the BDS movement, they actually push more performing artists, businesspersons and academics into affirming their support for Israel out in the open instead of exercising quiet discretion. For that accomplishment, the BDSholes deserve a “schlemiel of the year” award.
