Hamas Slips Up With Admission

Back in May 2015, the palestinians complained that the IDF had shot a 17-year-old boy.

As Ma’an News reported at the time

Israeli forces shoot, critically injure Palestinian teen in Gaza

A 17-year-old Palestinian is in critical condition after he was shot in the head by Israeli forces in northern Beit Lahiya in the Gaza Strip on Friday, amid reports that Israeli forces also shot and injured a Palestinian fisherman.

Ashraf al-Qidra, spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, said the 17-year-old boy had been shot in the head and had been moved for treatment.

An Israeli army spokeswoman confirmed the shooting.

She said that a group of Palestinians had been seen “approaching the security fence” and that Israeli forces arrived shortly afterwards.

She alleged that the Israeli soldiers called them to halt, and fired warning shots when they “refused to comply.”
Israeli forces then fired at their “lower extremities” and hit the “main instigator” of the group, she said. Asked what he had been instigating, she said the group had been “attempting to breach the security fence.”

Today, he succumbed to his wounds, as certain anti-Israel sites posted.

Those brutal Israelis shooting innocent teenage boys!

Yeah, not quite. Hamas have pretty big mouths, and they’ve slipped up, admitting this teenager was one of their fighters.

hamasHamas fighter succumbs to wounds a year after being shot in the head

The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced on Thursday that one of its fighters in Gaza had succumbed to wounds he sustained more than a year earlier when he was shot by Israeli forces.

The group said in statement that 19-year-old Nael Suleiman Salah had been injured by Israeli fire north of the Gaza town of Beit Lahiya on May 8, 2015.

Ma’an reported at the time that a Palestinian teenager was in a critical condition after having been shot in the head.

Most, if not all, would have assumed he was just a civilian until now. But as the IDF claimed, he was up to no good.

They certainly recruit them while they are young. Something to keep in mind when analyzing palestinian casualties.
