Quentin Tarantino Having A “Fantastic Time” In Israel
American filmmaker and actor Quentin Tarantino has come to Israel for the 33rd annual Jerusalem Film Festival’s opening ceremony, at which he was presented with a lifetime achievement award by Jerusalem mayor Nir Barkat.
According to Israellycool contributor RealJStreets who was at the ceremony, Barkat told Tarantino that his favorite film was Kill Bill. Which is kind of what I would expect The Batman to say.
For his part,Tarantino had some really nice things to say about being in Israel, even trying out a little bit of Hebrew.
“Wow, sababa,” said Tarantino, upon accepting the award. “There is something special about receiving this prize here in Jerusalem, at the foot of the Old City, in the open air. God bless you all.”
RealJStreets also captured this video at the tail-end of Tarantino’s speech, in which he declares he is having a “fantastic time.”
Meanwhile, someone on Twitter posted this photo of Tarantino dining at the Jerusalem shuk, along with a note he purportedly left.
