Perspective on Netanya Attack

My friends Darren and Yamit live around the corner from the mall, which was the scene of yesterday’s horrendous terror attack. Last night, they went to the scene of the crime, and took the following pictures, which will provide you with more insight into the magnitude of the devastation wrought by such attacks.

In this first photo, you can see how the blast ripped tiles off the building, all the way to the top.

In this next photo, Darren and Yamit note how high up the victims’ blood reached.

The next photo provides some perspective on where the bomber was standing when he detonated his explosives, in relation to the tiles as shown above. Glass from the blasted windows of the mall flew all the way across the road.

Darren and Yamit have taken this final picture from the mall side of the road, looking towards the interview spot, past which the glass flew.

I am very thankful that Darren and Yamit were not in harm’s way at the time. Having said that, I am extremely saddened that there were people killed and maimed in this attack.

May those injured have full and speedy recoveries.
