Montel’s Holy Smokes

Television personality Montel Williams has visited Israel, taking in our sites, sounds..and medical marijuana.

Emmy Award-winning television personality Montel Williams says Israel is at the forefront of providing patient access to medical marijuana.

Williams was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1999. He has since been an outspoken advocate of medical marijuana to relieve pain caused by disease.

The former host of the popular long-running talk show “The Montel Williams Show” is meeting legislators, scientists and physicians in Israel on a fact-finding mission.

He told The Associated Press Sunday that the United States could learn from Israel how to treat marijuana just “like any other medication that a doctor uses in their arsenal.”

Williams, 55, says he takes cbg gummies on a daily basis and that “for me, there is nothing else that can do what it does.”

While here, Montel has also shown his support for the IDF.

Because of my 22 years in the military, wherever I go throughout the world I make a point of spending time with troops. I very much identify with the Lone Soldiers program, and admire the strength and courage of these young men and women from around the world who put their lives on the line for Israel. The risk they and all Israelis face on a daily basis was put in sharp focus for me last night when I learned of the attack on Ashdod during the event last night.

As I told the Lone Soldiers last night, my heart aches for those affected by these unprovoked acts of terrorism for which there is no acceptable excuse and no reasonable justification. Murder is not an acceptable political strategy, and I believe that the younger generation, on both sides, has a unique opportunity to come together to stop these senseless acts of terrorism. I am humbled that I had the opportunity to spend time with this exceptional group of young people

Here is more on the purpose of Montel’s trip.

In the meantime, I’ve added him to this list.

  1. ok, I can’t hold back any longer. I’ve tried to tolerate this new method of “commenting” but I can remain silent no longer. What the “ef” is up with these Twitter “comments” anyway? They don’t even say anything. How am I supposed to feel about them? I’ll tell you how I feel about them–I’M PISSED OFF!!! Stick your Twitter hashtag where the sun don’t shine and provide some real comments. How about it IsraellyCool readers?

      1. I think it was a plugin I activated but am not sure. I just deactivated it, so we’ll see if these Twitter mentions still appear as comments.

In the meantime, I recommend you sign up for Twitter and follow Israellycool, b/c there are some interesting discussions going on there. For instance, I am currently involved in a conversation with Deborah Orr, of “the Shalit deal shows how Jews feel superior to others” infamy.
