From Jedi To Jeddah?

Hollywood actor Liam Neeson is reportedly contemplating becoming a Muslim.

liam neesonLiam Neeson has considered becoming a Muslim after the religion got “into [his] spirit”.

The actor revealed the faith resonated with him while filming in Turkish city Istanbul. Liam finds the Islamic religion very “beautiful”.

“The Call to Prayer happens five times a day and for the first week it drives you crazy, and then it just gets into your spirit and it’s the most beautiful, beautiful thing,” he gushed in an interview with British newspaper The Sun.

“There are 4,000 mosques in the city. Some are just stunning and it really makes me think about becoming a Muslim.”

I just hope if he does become a Muslim, it’ll be because it got “into [his] spirit”, and not because his former mother-in-law did.

  1. Neeson played Qui-Gon Jinn, not Obi-Wan Kenobi (his padawan, played by Ewan McGregor).

Quoting al-Neeson: “The Call to Prayer happens five times a day and for the first week it drives you crazy, and then it just gets into your spirit and it’s the most beautiful, beautiful thing.”

More efficient than a talisman swayed in front of one’s eyes with a hypnotic voice slowly spoken.

  2. as long as he does not become the new mr.lauren booth.
and stays away from the radical side of islam, but the next thing you know all the crazies will be in touch with him,and he will be on a fast boat to israel, with new wife,to spread jew hate.
mind you the never ending noise of muslims being called to plot plan and scheem, sorry prayer, could make quite a few decide to join them, brain washing the masses by the daily din.
radical islam the enemy of all good muslims those that still exist that is.

    1. “…and stays away from the radical side of islam,…”

The radical side is the orthodox side. It’s a PC myth that mainstream Islam is antithetical to the Islam of cartoon-rioters and shariah law imperialists.

        wow!antithetical,have you been eating dictionaries?
the ortherdox side of islam is the radical side, well i don’t think that there is much dispute on that one,and is the same in all religions is it not,and these are the very people that send others to convert any-body they can lay their hands on.
so i have to be honest i do not rearly fully understand your reply as i thought my comment did cover most aspects,may-be not?

No, it’s about the question of being mainstream. The Jewish szchlubs who made the brouhaha in Beit Shemesh are radical, but they’re not mainstream—they’ve been successfully condemned using the orthodox canon. The Christian Reconstructionists, a sect marked by its belief that Christians should apply Biblical statecraft law where they live, is radical but not mainstream—again, condemned by other fundamentalist Christians. In contrast, Islamic jihadism and shariah supremacism is radical, orthodox and mainstream, and there has been as yet no successful attempt at countering it using the Islamic orthodox canon.

You hope Liam Neeson stays away from the radical side of Islam, but I think we all know the chances. People who don’t buy into the whole “Islamophobia” ploy are well aware that Drew Barrymore could at most start refusing to eat pork and become unavailable for contact one day out of seven, while Neeson has a good chance of going the way of Cat Stevens, now Yusuf Islam, who said of Salman Rushdie (recently in the news again) that “death would be too kind for him.” I for one am not optimistic about the matter.

a story related to me some time ago,by a friend here.
he knows the genleman who used to own 2 new/used car showrooms,any-way salman rushdies, brown audi came up for sale/auction,so the gentleman purchased it with private number plate and expecting to make a good profit put it in the front of his car showroom, people he knew told him you are crazy take it away, well after various threats smashed car showroom windows and damage to cars,it was taken away, given a re-spray,and change of id,and became red in colour with no mention of it’s previous owner.
