Google Street View Goes Live In Israel, Reveals Apartheid

Google Street View has gone live in Israel.

The Google application offers 3-D views of streets around the world based on actual photographs, enabling users to feel as if they’re experiencing these locations firsthand.

Within Israel, Google Street View is so far offering images of Gush Dan towns including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Haifa. The Google Street View car spent seven months photographing streets in these cities prior to the release.

The Justice Ministry conditioned allowing the Internet giant to upload images of Israel’s streets on it automatically blurring out faces of people and license plates.

Unfortunately, some images have made it to the service, which show what an apartheid state Israel really is.

Take the below image, taken from an Arab neighborhood of Jerusalem.

Israel has clearly forced the poor Arabs to continue using Hotmil (sic), while traumatising them with memories of former US President Boush (sic).

At least they can spell the F word (hat tip: Dan).
