Silverstein’s New Low

Today, anti-Israel blogger Richard Silverstein tweeted something which was unbelievably low, even considering his normal “standards”.

What is even more disturbing than Silverstein’s unqualified acceptance of the notion the film debunks the Jewish exile – despite the fact he has never seen it – is his characterization of the Jewish exile after the destruction of the Second Temple in 70CE as a “Zionist myth.” This, despite the fact it is part of established Jewish history, as mentioned in the Talmud. Even the most vehement of Jewish anti-Israel, anti Zionist groups like Neturei Karta do not deny this exile.

You can form your own conclusions. It looks to me like Silverstein is not “merely” attacking Israel, but is attacking Judaism.

  1. “Zionist myth” maybe he is saying that the Jews never left Roman Judea? I meant even he has to agree that Judea has to do with Jews living there are the time.

  2. He’s also attacking the credibility of virtually all historians whose specialize in Jewish history.
It is sort of like the “Jews are Khazars” myth in which its proponents completely ignore the fact all mainstream historians do not support it and instead claim “the Zionists made up the myth that they are descendants of Biblical Jews” despite the fact that really has nothing to do with Zionism.

  3. dickie hates jews and despite his claims about getting a degree that would have given him some knowledge of jewish history…he has none
