Shana Tova

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, starts tonight.

Unlike the secular New Years Eve, it is not about drinking copious amounts of alcohol and partying. Rather, it is a time of introspection, repentance..and apples dipped in honey.

It is also not about blogging, so you won’t see me or any of the Israellycool gang around these parts until at least Saturday night Israel time.

In the meantime, here are some Rosh Hashana greetings, starting with Israeli PM Binyamin Netanyahu:

US President Barack Obama:

UK Prime Minister David Cameron:

The IDF:

UNRWA’s Chris Guiness:

Then there’s the funny stuff.

And the inspiring.

Meanwhile, this year, something really cool happened:

Shana Tova!
