We can easily make up yet another Twitter hashtag and have some fun making up some crazy claims a la Chuck Norris or Norwegian Doctor, but why bother?
Palestinian Negotiator Saeb Erekat has plenty of material for us to hashtag #ErekatClaims without making anything up.
Among his actual claims are:
- 96% of Gaza’s “Protective Edge” casualties are civilians
- 12,000 Gazans were killed in operation Protective Edge.
- A further 12,000 Gazans were injured in Operation Protective Edge.
- Every single Palestinian death since August 2013 was an innocent civilian.
- Islamic State is hogging all the attention from Palestinians
- His Palestinian lineage can be traced to Canaanites for 9000 years.
- Netanyahu stopped a historic agreement at the last second for no reason.
- Jesus was Palestinian
- Bibi = Islamic State Leader
- A whoooooole slew of other lies
So just to sum it up, Israel is supposed to negotiate peace with a guy who is not even putting any effort into his lies anymore. I mean, dude. At least make it look like you’re trying.
Mr. Erekat, slow down. The Palestinian school system can’t update its history books fast enough for you to keep changing the narrative like that all the time.
