DIEGO Maradona has been accused of assaulting his former girlfriend, who took footage of an altercation in which she was allegedly hit by the football icon.
According to Spanish newspaper El Mundo, the above video shows Maradona, 53, with Rocio Oliva, 24.
The couple were engaged but broke up in June. Oliva claimed to have suffered domestic violence from Maradona and had evidence to prove it.
The exchange in the video has been translated as Maradona angrily telling Oliva to stop looking at her mobile phone.
“Stop, loco, why can’t I look at my phone,” Oliva replies.
Maradona approaches from across the room and appears to strike out.
She responds: “Stop! Stop! Stop hitting, Diego.”

That’s no way to use his “hand of god”
No word yet on whether he has characterized his actions as legitimate resistance against his former girlfriend who was illegally occupying his house. In an attempt to win that coveted coaching position, of course.
