BDSHoles Have Apparently Not Boycotted “Chutzpah”

You are probably already familiar with Leo Rosten’s famous definition of chutpzah as “that quality enshrined in a man who, having killed his mother and father, throws himself on the mercy of the court because he is an orphan.”

Well, the BDSHoles over at Brighton BDS have raised their hands to be part of an updated definition with this gem:

Yep. After spending so much time advocating for the boycott of Sodastream products – to inflict maximum economic damage on them – these not-so-bright Brighton BDSHoles are now whining that Sodastream does not care about its palestinian workers who could lose their jobs because of the factory closure they braggingly claim BDS caused!

Besides the chutzpah of their tweet, it is also a lie.

Birnbaum said in the statement that he’s working with the Israeli government to obtain work permits that would enable his Palestinian employees to work at the relocated plant. However, the new facility is 60 miles away from the Mishor Adumim workplace.

“While we are enthusiastic about our new Lehavim facility and the exciting promise it brings to our company, we are committed to doing everything in our power to enable continuity of employment to our family of employees,” Birnbaum said in the statement.

The fact is it is the Israel-haters and BDSHoles who “don’t give a toss” about palestinians. Their goal is the destruction of Israel, and any palestinians who get hurt in that endeavor are acceptable collateral damage.

  1. As much derision and despise the demented BDS gang merit, the term “BDS Hole” makes no sense at all, is childish and erases fundamental arguments against them. time to come up with another term that is no playground insult but rather something akin to stake to the heart…anywho… Kinda OT and all.. Kudos on your work AD

  2. Ah, when I heard the news that SodaStream was closing their factory and moving to another location I asked myself: “If Palestinians lose their jobs because of the move would these people boycott SodaStream because of the job losses?”
And now I know the answer.

Its the typical “damned if you do, damned if you don’t, and damn the facts” approach the anti Israel people take.

(Similarly, I remember reading here how Silverstein criticized an Israeli company for having the utter gall of employing Bedouin by calling it “exploitation” and I asked at the time if they didn’t employ them would he label that as “discriminatory”. My guess is the answer is “yes”.)
