Anti-Israel Celebrity of The Day: Reggie Bush
Yesterday, I posted about the exploitation by anti-Israel activists of unrest arising from the grand jury decision to not indict the Ferguson officers.
It now seems they have a celebrity ally: Reggie Bush of the Detroit Lions, who posted the following to his almost half a million followers on Instagram:
No matter who you are, what color skin you have, where you live, we are all in this together! This isn’t a Ferguson problem it’s a Global Problem! We need change NOW! What happened to humanity? #JusticeForMikeBrown
If you go back and read my posts relating to Ferguson not once did I write anything relating to racism in fact I actually wrote under one of the posts that it didn’t matter what your skin color was or what religion you practiced! I guess somehow this was confused for me being a racist? SMH! This issue is a GLOBAL issue (I believe I said that already in one of my posts as well) as you can see! People all over the world have been affected by the unfortunate events that have taken place in Ferguson! I chose to take a stance on this issue because I’d rather have an opinion than to sit back and be quiet and say nothing at all! I wasn’t expecting everyone to agree with me and I wasn’t expecting everyone to like my posts! A unarmed young man lost his life period! And that’s unfortunate! I don’t know much about shooting people or getting shot but I do know if you shoot someone once in each leg (not 6-10 times) maybe even 3 times, chances are they will slow down! So my heart goes out to the family members of Mike Brown and anyone else that has gone through similar or worse tragedy!
It is obviously a ridiculous, wrong comparison. Palestinians are constantly shooting unarmed Israelis, and not the other way around. But more than that: from a timing perspective, Bush has made this comparison not only right after the Ferguson verdict, but also in the wake of the brutal murder by palestinians of 4 Jewish worshipers in a synagogue.
Reggie Bush, you may be a skilled athlete, but you are a failure as a human being.
Update: TMZ is asking its readers whether Bush’s Ferguson-Israel comparison is a fair point. As of the time of this update, 58% of 86,930 readers have said No, and 42% Yes.
