Winning People Over One Bookstore At A Time

Bookstore dude highlightOne of my Facebook friends, Kasim, posted the following screenshot of a text message sent to him after he had a chat with a random dude in a bookstore.

Hello Kaz, Owen we met in McNally Robinson here, I hope you don’t mind me contacting you, I read the books you suggested, also look some of the sources you directed me too. Seems my views of Israel are quite bigoted and erroneous. It is a country doing amazing things that mirror my values. Could you spare some time, to discuss further.

To think I would have just added to my ignorance if I’d bought the book I was there for

Kasim wrote the following on Facebook (link for his friends only):

So standing up for Israel there are good days and bad days, not long ago I stopped someone buying Max Blumenthals book and providing some more accurate readings. Today all I can say is YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, I’m gonna take this as the an almost win.

Moral of the story speak out when you can, you may change someone for the better

That’s what we know here at Israellycool: speak up, don’t just defend Israel, promote her. Tell people how great Israel is. We know we pick up new people all the time. Sometimes its a celebrity story like the Roger Waters / Alan Parsons to and fro or my writing about electric cars. Suddenly people with no interest or even boredom, find some aspect they’re interested in and from that they get a new view.
